What Is a Doula?
A doula is a trained support person who helps women during pregnancy, childbirth, and after having a baby by providing emotional support, education, encouragement, and comfort throughout the experience. While doulas do not provide medical care and are not doctors or nurses, they work alongside healthcare teams to help women feel informed, supported, and confident during their pregnancy and birth journey.
